How We Work Together
We Begin With What Is Present
We listen to you, to your body, to what is being expressed, and to what may be communicating more subtly through sensation, movement, breath, energy, awareness, and relationship.
We start with the capacity that is genuinely available. From there, we cultivate the conditions through which greater capacity can develop.
We bring attention to what supports greater balance and harmony. Sometimes that means creating more space or support. At other times, it may mean inviting movement, exploration, expression, or appropriate challenge.
The work is participatory.
I bring my training, experience, perception, attention, and care. You bring your body, your experience, your awareness, and what is alive or asking for care in the moment.
Together, we listen, respond, and orient as the conversation unfolds.
What We Can Cultivate Together
Sometimes capacity grows through challenge. Sometimes it grows because there is finally enough support, space, rest, movement, or permission for something different to become possible.
Within our work, I can help cultivate:
Space: to notice and experience what is present
Support: for the body and nervous system
Movement: greater possibilities for physical expression
Attention: to deepen sensing and awareness
Communication: between different aspects of experience
Relationship: with yourself, your body, and what is emerging
Participation: bringing awareness to how we participate and relate, while supporting your agency within the work
Appropriate challenge: when there is capacity for exploration
Resilience: through greater flexibility, responsiveness, and recovery
We tend not only to these conditions, but to their quality: their spaciousness, responsiveness, coherence, movement, and adaptability.
What Is Capacity?
Capacity is what is genuinely available to us for meeting and participating in our experience.
It can include our physical, mental, emotional, sensory, relational, and energetic capacities. It can change from moment to moment and across different areas of our lives.
Capacity includes how much space we have to feel, sense, move, respond, relate, choose, create, and express.
My role is to help you recognize what is available now and cultivate conditions through which greater capacity can emerge.
As capacity expands, more can become available to awareness. Awareness can reveal possibilities for choice, and informed choice can change the conditions through which capacity develops. As capacity matures, more aligned choices can become genuinely available.
In this way, greater capacity can support greater agency and more conscious participation in life.
The Space We Create Together
A supportive space makes room for what arises while honoring the people within it.
It means I take responsibility for the conditions I help create.
I hold clear professional boundaries. I respect your agency and your right to choose, pause, question, redirect, or decline. I welcome honest communication and authentic expression.
Within shared space, freedom of expression exists alongside responsibility for how we participate with one another.
I seek to cultivate a space grounded in respect, compassion, kindness, consent, and care, while nurturing grounds for curiosity, play, exploration, learning, and grace.
Your agency remains your own. My role is to help create conditions in which you have more room to be aware of it and to exercise it.
What Becomes Possible
As capacity develops, my intent is for more of life to become available to you: greater depth of feeling and expression, vitality, and discernment.
For you to have greater freedom to shift and change, to move with life and be nourished by it, and to actively participate in your own becoming, in the ways you desire.
